Injustice!

Can I just complain a little bit about the injustice of  weight loss?  DH and I have lost the same amount of pounds, and good for him, except he never works out. EVER. I work out 6 days a week.   I count my calories, and track what I eat, and am basically killing myself, and his weight is falling off...injustice, I say!!!

No, really, it's awesome that he is losing weight, too.  I am just going to keep at it, hard work or not.

Meal Plan!

Here you are ladies and gentlemen. My family meal plan for this week. As you can see how we eat has changed a lot. Let me know what you think!

Quick Catch up.....

Yeah, yeah, you know...same old excuses why I haven't written. Busy. There you're caught up.

Kidding! :) But in all seriousness, I have been very busy in a really great way. I have been sticking to my goals of working out and eating healthfully, and I am starting to see some great results. I lost 7 pounds in the last week and a half alone, but because I have been adding lean muscle I have lost a couple of inches all around. I am beginning to feel really good, and I am excited to keep going on my adventure.

Homeschooling with the kiddos has been going at a good clip lately. Kid #1 is really excelling with the Kindergarten worksheets I have been giving her. She can read and write her name and several other small words now, and she has a longer attention span for stories, too. That was my ultimate goal for her this year, so I am happy.  She is also now completely potty trained, which thrills me. How weird would it be to have a kid that can read and write but refused to go on the toilet? She's only 3 1/2 but, still, she is capable and now she does it. Yay!  The little one is is doing really well in "school" as well.  I put school in quotations because I am not really formally doing a program for her yet (she's only 2 1/2 after all). But she does little coloring pages to teach her colors and things, and she can recognize all the letters of the alphabet and say them, as well as her numbers up to ten.  So, I am satisfied there as well. At this young age, my main goal was to get them used to the schedule of a school day and to get some basic skills down, and they have done both. Even the little one has learned her scissor skills, so I am excited for what next school year will bring. :)

So, there you are. You really are all caught up now. I am going to go ahead and post my meal plan for the week, too. Remember, if you want any of my recipes, just ask me. :)
